The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, a department within the Division of Student Life and Center for Student Involvement, is dedicated to the growth and success of the Greek community. We support the development of fraternal leadership and learning. The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life advises and provides guidance to the 20 fraternities and sororities associated with the three Greek governing councils: the College Panhellenic Council (CPC), the Inter-fraternity Council (IFC) and the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).
Each council has a rich history and diverse recruitment or intake procedure, as well as different operational framework. All of the organizations offer members the opportunity to hold leadership positions in the chapter and at the University, participate in volunteer and service activities on campus and in the community, and become involved in campus life. Members are encourage to achieve academic success, and to reach personal and professional goals. All fraternities and sororities are required to adhere to the Office of Greek Life Policy and the University of South Alabama Student Code of Conduct.
